The Future is Coming. So is this Blog.

Considering Virtual Reality (VR) is not the most popular way to intake media, you might ask why I am creating a blog about it. To put it bluntly, VR is an unrealized gold mine of potential that is on the upswing. I firmly believe that this technology will be the main means in which we learn and interact with others within 50 years. Yes, I can fully acknowledge that this prediction has been made for the past 50 years, but this time is different I swear! The reason I make such a strong prediction all started back 2 years ago when I tried VR for the first time. It was in one of those demos you see at the store and the first demo was you need to walk this very narrow path across two skyscrapers. Immediately, I was immersed. As soon as the demo started, my brain was convinced I was on top of a building about to risk my life. Heartrate rising, looking down at the ground that I was convinced was 300 feet away. I could not be more convinced that this is the future.

While it is my hope that everyone gets to experience VR, I acknowledge that the technology is still needing some improvements to be fully realized. For that reason, I have chosen to create this Blog to follow the journey of advancement in this industry. Even if you have never tried VR, this blog is for you. Together, we will keep our eyes glued to the screen waiting for the time when our screens become our reality.

  1. I have never used VR, but I am very interested in your blog. I can imagine with technology advancing everyday how powerful VR will become. I like how you described it as a "unrealized gold mine." I am looking forward to reading more posts from your blog.
